RK-11-5 is a catalyst, of which nickel is the active component, and magnesium silicate is the carrier. The catalyst is suitable for the technical process of preparing methane-enriched gas with light oil.

4.Notes for the operation of catalyst
1)For the catalyst, nickel is the active component, and sulfur is the main poison, so that the content of sulfur within the raw material gas entered into the furnace shall be reduced as far as possible; generally, the content of sulfur shall be less than 0.5ppm, and the best content of sulfur shall be less than 0.2ppm .
2)Chlorine and other halogens also will poison the catalyst, and inhibit the recovery of activity of the catalyst, so that the content of chlorine in the raw material shall be reduced as far as possible, and the best condition is that the content of chlorine is less than 0.2ppm.
3)Arsenic will deactivate the catalyst permanently, so the raw material gas shall not include arsenic.
4)In addition to chlorine, arsenic and other poisons, water vapor should not contain water drop and the chemical drugs used for the treatment of boiler feed water.
5)During the process of temperature-rising and reduction, RK-11-5 catalyst will release water, wherein the water is from the bound water of the catalyst as well as the reduction of NiO, and the total water yield in the temperature-rising and reduction process shall be close to the analyzed and calculated amount of the catalyst.
6)For the operation of RK-11-5 catalyst, the performances will be affected mainly by oil airspeed. When the oil airspeed is too large, the standing time of reactants in the bed layer of catalyst will be shortened, and therefore the content of higher hydrocarbon above C2 in outlet gas will be increased, which will endanger the following processes.
7)In normal operation process, the service life of RK-11-5 catalyst can be more than 3 years; if the operation condition is harsh or the content of higher hydrocarbon above C2 in the bed layer of catalyst is more than 30g/NM3 due to other accidents, the catalyst shall be replaced in time.
5. Notes for catalyst loading
1)The catalyst packed in plastic bag well shall be placed in a moisture-proof and anti-pollution iron drum or hard plastic drum to prevent from damping, and it shall be prevented from falling from the place of 0.5m and above as well as impacting at any time. Moreover, the place where the catalyst is stored shall be prevented from the pollution caused by sulfur or other soluble salts.
2) Before loading, the catalyst shall be sieved, so as to remove debris and powder, and the blocking condition for the interior of furnace and supporting grid shall be inspected.
3)In loading process, inert magnetic ball shall be loaded firstly, in which the loading height shall be recorded, and then RK-11-5 catalyst shall be loaded. During the process of loading catalyst, it is forbidden to walk and trample directly on the catalyst, the catalyst shall be provided with a board, the catalyst shall be lifted to the furnace with a container and loaded evenly with artificial, then the catalyst shall be loaded to the height expected, and the loading amount shall be recorded.
